What does age-play really look like and can an independent and intelligent woman really find healing as a submissive in a BDSM relationship?
I was privileged to travel and explore many parts of the world. I admit that I was somewhat of a brat, and also out of control. My general took it upon himself to be a Daddy to me and my first Dominant as well. He made me face my fears, try exotic foreign foods, and even challenged me to go outside my comfort zone and learn to play--while he played along with me. Despite the trouble I got into (and there was plenty) and the consequences that came of it, I never felt abandoned, unloved or afraid.
This is about my first Dom and my introduction into the age-play dynamic. Many things happened after being taken under my general's protective (and incredibly patient) wing. He gave me a sense of significance and worth through love, firm guidance and boundaries. He made me laugh, helped me to cry, and showed me the power and healing contained within the age-play lifestyle. He made it safe for my inner child to express herself and taught me that it was good to enjoy life.
But no one really knows what happens behind closed doors or the things that happen to shatter your dreams and violate your joy. This was one of the most difficult books that I have written. It not only brought up many memories, both good and bad, but it also forced me to reveal parts of my past that some might find disturbing. Because of those issues, I felt this story would be a valuable asset to the Breaking Chains© series.
I pray that all of you are blessed with at least one person who has positively impacted your life and that you grab every opportunity and positively touch others. Always remember--your words and actions have the power to either heal or kill. Which direction do you choose?

This is an autobiography. But WOW!! I have been a fan of Breanna's for some time. This like all of her books is well written. However, this one goes deep. It explores domestic violence, emotional and self harm. It is presented in such that I would allow my teenager to read it to truly understand the world we live in. In the end there is a happily ever after, although it took my trials to get there. It shows the strength that Breanna has and her determination to succeed. It also shows how much words can hurt and how they have a life long effect on a person. The Breaking Chains series is superb.

The General Little Angel Breaking Chains© Book 2 eBook Breanna Hayse Reviews
Thank you for writing this book. You are an angel. Sent to help others. This story brought tears to my eyes. No child should have to go through this. I am glad that les got his too the little prick. Lord bless you and thank the Lord for your new loving husband you deserve to be happy finally
I'm just gonna write what I think. It might not be appropriate for a book review, but it is in my head and heart.
As a survivor of child abuse, I had alot of reactions to this book. You are courageous! The turmoil you lived through was heartbreaking and I'm so glad you had your Daddy. I'm glad you have your John now.
I wanted to reach through the pages and wring necks for what was done. Im still trying not to cry.
You show that through adversity you can succeed and find your version of HEA.
Thank you!
I have been a fan of Breanna Hayse for years. This book is my favorite. Breanna has opened her heart and soul to tell us her story and I am so grateful she did. This book reminds me to cherish the people who have helped me become who I am now and not what the bullies and ignorant people from my past told me I was. Thank you, Bree, for being brave enough to share your story with us.
Wow! First, thank you Bree for being willing to share your very personal story... I've been reading & enjoying Breanna Hayse books for a few years now, and while some have made me stop and think, this book had me in tears. After having a traumatic childhood, the General was just what you needed to help heal some of your wounds and allow you to change your perception of yourself. I completely agree with another reviewer that Les was a prick & so was your ex-husband! Thankfully you did get your HEA by finding John who helped you to finish the healing process that the General had started... Again, wow! This was an inspiring book & definitely worth the read.
A KINKY SONNET FOR 'THE GENERAL'S LITTLE ANGEL'
A fan asked Breanna Hayse "What makes you, you?"
So she wrote "The General's Little Angel" which is brand new
Her wowser story has different parts
Age-play and husband-abuse just to start
She was an unloved brat woman/child needing a Dad
Her Dom-Dad spanked her often when she was bad
But the loving strict Dom had to leave the scene
Replaced by a husband; abusive and mean
Breanna made a promise to her made-up Dad
To help those like her; pained and sad
So she works with victims in a woman's shelter
Giving comfort to lives that are helter-skelter
This book is a fund-raiser, I'd like to shout
Think of how you'll feel when you help her out

I write a lot of reviews, meaning, I read a lot of books/stories.
I am also a Behavior Analyst.
So, I tend to look at things with a different eye than most.
I gave, The General's Little Angel, 5 stars, because of the riveting
story line, and the outstanding character portrayals.
The book was written from the heart, and that is evident in every word.
It is a controversial, hot button, to some even a taboo, topic, that will get your attention.
One way, or another.
Good job, Breanna Hayes.
The author states "history repeat itself, and I was kept silent by the strength of fear." She didn't stay in that fear. She broke through it. She broke those chains of fear further by writing this book, sharing her story in hopes "that it reaches someone out there who needs to know that he/she is not alone." Writing this book could not have been easy. Its raw honesty is touching, yet heartbreaking. This novel is an accomplishment not only of writing but also of personal triumph. It's a perfect piece for the Breaking Chains series. A true story of hope and healing.
This is an autobiography. But WOW!! I have been a fan of Breanna's for some time. This like all of her books is well written.
